Softball Recap: Hawley Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hawley can now relate to. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 17-7 to the Bangs Dragons, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Bearcats have struggled against the Dragons recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Kamry Cory made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Ravin Wright, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Hawley's loss dropped their record down to 13-15. As for Bangs, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Hawley beat the Dragons by a score of 7-6 on Saturday.
