Volleyball Recap: West Florence Knights vs. Westwood Redhawks
West Florence lost against Westwood back in September of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The West Florence Knights fell 3-1 to the Westwood Redhawks. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
West Florence took a 1-0 lead headed into the second set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-17, 25-9, 25-18.
Westwood can attribute much of their success to Thanna Davis, who had 15 digs and two aces. Davis is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in the last seven games she's played.
West Florence's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Westwood, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-6.
West Florence will face off against St. James at 9:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Westwood, they will head out to square off against Sumter at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
