Volleyball Recap: Gaston Christian Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Tuesday. Gaston Christian fell just short of Concord Academy by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Concord Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in August.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Gaston Christian sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 24-26, 25-21, 21-25, 15-8.

Trinity Genteman paced Gaston Christian's offense, picking up seven kills. Genteman got some help from Peyton Hunsucker and her 16 assists. Madelyn Pierce controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

This is the second loss in a row for Gaston Christian and nudges their season record down to 10-7. As for Concord Academy, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.

Gaston Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Hickory Grove Christian on the 18th. As for Concord Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Ambassador Christian School on the 18th.
