Volleyball Recap: Manatee Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Manatee, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Palmetto Tigers on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Hurricanes: when they faced off against the Tigers on September 4th, they had to take a 3-0 loss.

The win didn't come easy: Palmetto scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-19, 14-25, 25-22.

When it comes to explaining why Palmetto lost, don't look at Darma Rodriguez. Despite the final result, she had 15 digs and three aces. Rodriguez is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played.

The victory got Manatee back to even at 9-9. As for Palmetto, their defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 11-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Manatee will face off against Lakewood Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Palmetto, they will take on Hardee at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
