Football Recap: Cupertino Takes a Loss

Cupertino extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 11 on Friday, dropping them down to 0-10. They were outmatched by the Monta Vista Matadors and fell 66-27. The game snapped a strange streak: the last five times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Despite the loss, Cupertino still got an impressive performance from Brandon Cheng, who rushed for 130 yards and two scores on only ten carries, and also caught one touchdown. Cheng's longest rush was for an impressive 56 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

As for Monta Vista, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-6 record. That 39 point margin sets a new team best for them this season.

Graham Ischo had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 257 yards and four TDs on only 14 carries. Those four rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Justin Chaahoub helped out on the ground, rushing for 165 yards and a rushing touchdown.

As of now, neither Cupertino nor Monta Vista have any future games scheduled.
