Baseball Recap: Northridge Knights vs. Hurricane Tigers
Northridge lost against Hurricane back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Northridge Knights fell just short of the Hurricane Tigers by a score of 5-4.
Tyler Martin was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Martin wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jon Olsen, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Another was Ryan Small, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
Northridge now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Hurricane, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.
Coincidentally, Northridge and Hurricane will both be playing Sky View the next time they take the field. Hurricane will host Sky View at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, while Northridge will head out to face them at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
