Baseball Game Preview: Parkway Central Colts vs. Kirkwood Pioneers

Parkway Central is 0-8 against Kirkwood since May of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Colts will be playing at home against the Pioneers at 4:30 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Parkway Central is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest loss since May 13, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Burroughs by a score of 4-2. The Colts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Parkway Central saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Fleck, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Fleck has hit this season.

Meanwhile, Kirkwood came up short against Parkway South on Thursday and fell 4-1. The game marked the Pioneers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Parkway Central's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Kirkwood, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.
