Softball Recap: Olean Comes Up Short

If Olean was riding high fresh off their 15-3 takedown of Dunkirk on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Huskies lost 7-1 to the Allegany-Limestone Gators on Tuesday. The Huskies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Gators apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

Olean's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Allegany-Limestone, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Olean will challenge rival Salamanca at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Allegany-Limestone is set to square off against their familiar foe Dunkirk at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
