La Plata was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Oxon Hill on Wednesday. The Warriors never let the Clippers get on the board and left with a 17-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won ten games by nine runs or more so far this season.

Leah Buck made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.

In other batting news, Reese Menejia was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. Olivia Hutchins was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.

La Plata's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Oxon Hill, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 13-1.

Coming up, La Plata will face off against Thomas Stone on Thursday. Oxon Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
