Basketball Game Preview: Huntingtown Hurricanes vs. Calvert Cavaliers + How To Watch

The Huntingtown Hurricanes will square off against the Calvert Cavaliers at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Huntingtown will bounce into Wednesday's game after beating Great Mills, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Hurricanes enjoyed a cozy 45-29 victory over the Hornets on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hurricanes.

Eva Powell was nothing short of spectacular: she dropped a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (50%). Jordin Bodden was another key player, putting up two points in addition to seven boards and five steals.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Calvert, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They blew past Suitland 60-34 on Monday.

Huntingtown's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Calvert, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
