Madeira hadn't done well against Wyoming recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The MUSTANGS/AMAZONS came out on top against the Cowboys by a score of 3-1. This was a revenge game for the MUSTANGS/AMAZONS: when they faced off against the Cowboys on September 4th, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

Madeira had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-20, 25-23, 25-22.

Lucy Gianni paced Madeira's offense, picking up 13 kills. Gianni got some help from Dee Dee O'Malley and her 44 assists. Gianni was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Madeira has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Wyoming, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.

Madeira has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Indian Hill on the 2nd. Wyoming has also already played their next contest (against Finneytown), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
