Basketball Recap: Twin Valley Comes Up Short

On Wednesday, Twin Valley faced White River Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Twin Valley Wildcats were outmatched by the White River Valley Wildcats and fell 105-42. The loss continues a trend for Twin Valley in their matchups with White River Valley: they've now lost nine in a row.

Despite the defeat, Twin Valley saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Brayden Brown went 5 of 12 en route to 28 points and five steals. The matchup was Brown's 15th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Carson McHale, who posted ten points.

Twin Valley's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for White River Valley, the win keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.

Twin Valley will be playing at home against Arlington Memorial at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for White River Valley, they are taking a road trip to square off against Woodstock at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
