Softball Recap: Culpeper County Comes Up Short

Culpeper County lost to Spotsylvania back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Blue Devils came up short against the Knights, falling 11-3.

Culpeper County has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season. As for Spotsylvania, they moved to 2-6-1 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Culpeper County will head out on the road to face off against Caroline at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cavaliers have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season. As for Spotsylvania, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 4-2 defeat against Mechanicsville on the 27th.
