Basketball Game Preview: Platte Valley Broncos vs. SkyView Academy Hawks

The Platte Valley Broncos will face off against the SkyView Academy Hawks at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Platte Valley took their contest with ease, bagging a 52-10 win over Valley. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Broncos.

Platte Valley's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryla Bunting, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten steals. Those ten steals gave Bunting a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Delaney Uyemura, who posted 14 points and four steals.

Platte Valley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in eight consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, SkyView Academy earned a 41-30 win over Platte Canyon on Saturday.

SkyView Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Platte Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Everything came up roses for Platte Valley against SkyView Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 53-17 win. In that game, the Broncos amassed a halftime lead of 31-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
