Kokomo HomeSchool takes loss despite strong efforts from Jude Hogsett and David Hart

Recap: Kokomo HomeSchool Eagles vs. Anderson HomeSchool Angels

The Kokomo HomeSchool Eagles pushed their score all the way to 64 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 73-64 to Anderson HomeSchool. While losing is never fun, Kokomo HomeSchool can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 134th, while Anderson HomeSchool is ranked 20th).

Kokomo HomeSchool's loss came despite strong showings from David Hart and Jude Hogsett. Hart scored 14 points along with five assists and five rebounds, while Hogsett scored 16 points along with eight rebounds. The match was Hogsett's 11th in a row with at least ten points. Maximus Hogsett was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds.

Anderson HomeSchool's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Matthew Eaks, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Eaks has scored at least 25% of Anderson HomeSchool's points. Another player making a difference was Kailani McCloud, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and three blocks.

Kokomo HomeSchool's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Anderson HomeSchool, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-4.
