Basketball Recap: Longwood's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

Longwood lost against Oak Lawn back in February of 2020 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Longwood Panthers received a blow as they fell 59-40 to the Oak Lawn Spartans. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 565th, while the Spartans are ranked 137th).

The loss snapped Longwood's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-11 record. As for Oak Lawn, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-6.
