Basketball Recap: West Limestone's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

West Limestone can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They managed a 52-48 win over the Westminster Christian Academy Wildcats. That result was just more of the same for these two, as West Limestone also won the last time the pair played back in January.

West Limestone's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-6. As for Westminster Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Limestone will be home for the holidays to greet St. John Paul II at 7:45 p.m. on Monday. West Limestone is facing St. John Paul II at the right time seeing as St. John Paul II is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Westminster Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Oakwood Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Oakwood Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Westminster Christian Academy likes a good challenge.
