Football Recap: Max Pineda and Jayden Deliska Pace Pioneer Defense + How To Watch

Pioneer made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Woodland Christian, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Patriots fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 16-14 on Friday. The Patriots have struggled against the Cardinals recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Pioneer didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Max Pineda and Jayden Deliska. Pineda also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 17.

Oliver Holleman had an outrageously good game for Woodland Christian as he rushed for 67 yards and a pair of TDs on only five carries. Holleman didn't just play on offense: he also made five total tackles and defended one pass in addition to snagging an interception.

Having lost for the first time this season, Pioneer fell to 3-1. As for Woodland Christian, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Pioneer wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 20-16 loss against Vacaville on the 19th. As for Woodland Christian, they have also already played their next matchup, a 28-0 win against Esparto on the 19th.
