Volleyball Game Preview: Ygnacio Valley Wolves vs. Benicia Panthers

Ygnacio Valley is 0-5 against Benicia since March of 2023 but things could change on Tuesday. The Wolves are taking a road trip to square off against the Panthers at 6:30 p.m.

Ygnacio Valley is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 28th straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They came up short against Berean Christian, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-10, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Benicia was able to grind out a solid win over Concord on Thursday, taking the game 3-1. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

The win didn't come easy: Concord scored at least 21 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 20-25, 25-21, 25-23.

Benicia's victory bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Ygnacio Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-12.

Ygnacio Valley couldn't quite get it done against Benicia in their previous matchup back in March as they fell 3-1. Can the Wolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
