Volleyball Recap: Monte Vista Finds Playoff Glory Versus Loveland Classical + How To Watch

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Monte Vista had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Loveland Classical Lions, sneaking past 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Pirates have posted since October 18th.

Reagan Futrell paced Monte Vista's offense, picking up ten kills. Futrell got some help from Abbi Ortega and her 21 assists. Finally, Madison Henderhan kept Monte Vista's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Loveland Classical's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Faith Filler, who had 19 digs and seven aces, and Natalie Ruppert, who had 21 digs, nine kills, and one block.

The win made it two in a row for Monte Vista and bumps their season record up to 13-9. As for Loveland Classical, they now have a losing record of 12-13.

Monte Vista has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Denver Christian on the 8th. Loveland Classical does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
