Volleyball Recap: Lee's Summit West Falls Short Against Ranked Ozark

Lee's Summit West faced Ozark in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Titans fell 2-0 to the Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Titans of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2017.

Tori Massengill paced Lee's Summit West's offense, picking up seven kills. Massengill got some help from Taelyn Bowie and her nine assists.

Alexis Andela was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 11 digs and six assists. That's the most assists she has posted over her last six matches.

Lee's Summit West's loss dropped their record down to 20-4. As for Ozark, the win keeps them at an undefeated 22-0.

Coming up, Lee's Summit West will welcome Staley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ozark, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against St. Dominic on the 4th.
