Volleyball Recap: Morrill Picks Up 12th Consecutive Win

Morrill waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with 11 straight wins... but they left with 12. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Hay Springs Hawks. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lions also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

The win didn't come easy: Hay Springs scored at least 20 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-20.

Katelyn Walker paced Morrill's offense, picking up ten kills. Walker got some help from Makayla Dykes and her ten assists. Dykes and Walker didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.

Morrill's victory bumped their record up to 20-3. As for Hay Springs, their defeat ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-6.

Morrill didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Hemingford on the 18th. As for Hay Springs, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Minatare on the 16th.
