Softball Recap: Blair Has No Trouble Against Skutt Catholic

Blair was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Skutt Catholic on Monday. The Bears put the hurt on the SkyHawks with a sharp 12-6 win. With that victory, the Bears brought their scoring average up to 7 runs per game.

Laynie Brown was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Mia McClain, who went 4-for-5 with two runs and one RBI.

Blair was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .432. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Blair's record is now 4-2. As for Skutt Catholic, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Blair will challenge rival Lincoln Northwest at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Skutt Catholic is set to take on their familiar foe Duchesne/Roncalli at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
