Recap: Thrasher Rebels vs. Tremont Eagles
Even though the Thrasher Rebels have not done well against the Tremont Eagles recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Thrasher took down Tremont 47-33. The win made it back-to-back wins for Thrasher.
Despite the defeat, Tremont had strong showings from Nathan Crenshaw, who scored five points along with two steals, and Leo Cousseau, who scored five points along with ten rebounds and five assists.
The victory got Thrasher back to even at 10-10. As for Tremont, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Thrasher will take on Vardaman at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Tremont, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tupelo Christian Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Mississippi (Tupelo Christian Prep is ranked 266th, while Tremont is ranked 289th).
