Soccer Recap: Science Hill Takes a Loss

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Science Hill and Bearden had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Hilltoppers fell 3-1 to the Bulldogs on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Science Hill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while Bearden are ranked sixth).

Science Hill's goal came courtesy of Ian Almaroad, who's now up to four this season.

Science Hill's loss dropped their record down to 8-5-3. As for Bearden, their victory bumped their record up to 14-1-1.

Looking ahead, Science Hill will face off against Morristown-Hamblen East at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Bearden does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
