Softball Recap: Toronto Red Knights vs. Linsly Cadets
On Wednesday, the Toronto Red Knights were able to grind out a solid victory over the Linsly Cadets, taking the game 13-9.
Laney Danko and Michelle Anderson did most of the damage at the plate: Danko scored four runs while going 4-for-4, while Anderson went 4-for-5 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs. Callie Anderson was another key contributor, going 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI.
The win got Toronto back to even at 7-7. As for Linsly, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-10.
Toronto will head out on the road to challenge St. Clairsville at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Toronto is facing St. Clairsville at the right time seeing as St. Clairsville is stuck on an 18-game losing streak. Linsly does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
