Grassfield proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 11) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Great Bridge Wildcats, sneaking past 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Grizzlies: when they faced off against the Wildcats back in March, they had to take a 6-5 defeat.

Braelyn Bailey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Aubrey Mitchell, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Grassfield's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Great Bridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-5.

Grassfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Great Bridge, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Ocean Lakes at 5:45 p.m. The Dolphins will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
