Basketball Game Preview: Northwest Guilford Vikings vs. Asheboro Blue Comets + How To Watch

The Northwest Guilford Vikings will venture away from home to face off against the Asheboro Blue Comets at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Northwest Guilford and Northern Guilford, and Northern Guilford kept the tradition alive. The Vikings were just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 83-82 to the Nighthawks. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (66), the Vikings still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Asheboro won against Rockingham County on Tuesday with 62 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Blue Comets simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Trinity 62-26. The victory continues a trend for the Blue Comets in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won four in a row.

Northwest Guilford's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Asheboro, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
