Soccer Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Baldwin Park

Baldwin Park's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged the Nogales Nobles out 3-2. The win was all the more spectacular given the Braves' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 763rd, while the Nobles are ranked 179th).

Baldwin Park's victory bumped their record up to 6-8-1. As for Nogales, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Baldwin Park will square off against Azusa at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Nogales, they will take on Garey at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
