Soccer Game Preview: Rose Hill vs. Hayden

The Rose Hill Rockets will take on the Hayden Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Rose Hill is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They blew past Louisburg 6-2. The result was nothing new for Rose Hill, who have now won eight matches by four goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Hayden faced Bishop Miege in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Wildcats skirted past the Stags 2-1. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Hayden were the better team in the second half.

Rose Hill has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 52 goals over those ten contests. As for Hayden, their win bumped their record up to 17-0.

Rose Hill skirted past Hayden 1-0 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rockets since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
