Soccer Recap: Saint James Comes Up Short

Saint James was the 3-2 winner over Maret when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Saints took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Frogs on Friday. That's two games in a row now that Saint James have lost by exactly two goals.

Their goal came courtesy of Jacob Versino, who's now up to nine this season.

Saint James has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13-1 record this season. As for Maret, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Saint James will challenge Sidwell Friends at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Maret, they will face off against Potomac School at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
