After flying high against Parkrose on Friday, Centennial came back down to earth. The Eagles came up short against the Putnam Kingsmen on Tuesday, falling 13-5. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Claire Carron made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Amiah Rau, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Putnam, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-13.
