Baseball Game Preview: Archmere Academy Auks vs. Newark Charter School Patriots

The Archmere Academy Auks will head out to challenge the Newark Charter School Patriots at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Archmere Academy's last matchup with Caesar Rodney could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Saturday. The Auks lost 11-1 to the Riders. The Auks have struggled against the Riders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Newark Charter School fell victim to William Penn and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Colonials, falling 11-0. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Archmere Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Newark Charter School, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.

Archmere Academy took their victory against Newark Charter School when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 10-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Auks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
