Big Valley Christian had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Mariposa County Grizzlies. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 last Saturday.

Big Valley Christian wouldn't go down easily and took Mariposa County into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-22, 19-25, 20-25, 15-12.

Faye Dobson paced Big Valley Christian's offense, picking up 21 kills. Dobson got some help from Ella Alavezos and her 39 assists. Karlie Powell controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Despite the loss, Mariposa County still got an impressive performance from MIA HANSEN, who had 17 digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was ABBY BEERY, who had 12 digs and one assist.

Big Valley Christian's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Mariposa County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.

Big Valley Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Ripon on the 4th. As for Mariposa County, they will challenge Buhach Colony at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
