Recap: Cloverdale Eagles vs. Middletown Mustangs
The Cloverdale Eagles suffered their biggest defeat since December 23, 2023 on Friday. Their rough 56-36 defeat to Middletown might stick with them for a while. Cloverdale was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-8.
Cloverdale lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jordan Patton, who scored 14 points. That was a full 38.9% of Cloverdale's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Garibaldi, who scored five points along with two steals and two blocks.
This is the second loss in a row for Cloverdale and nudges their season record down to 12-12. As for Middletown, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-8.
Cloverdale will head out on the road to take on Willits at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Middletown, they will be playing at home against Kelseyville at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kelseyville is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
