Basketball Recap: Berean Academy's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

It was a good run, but Berean Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell to the Grace Baptist Academy Golden Eagles 68-62. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

When it comes to explaining why Berean Academy lost, don't look at Daniel Wigginton. Despite the final result, he posted 22 points. Wigginton's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Mayer Weatherly, who had 12 points.

Berean Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-2. As for Grace Baptist Academy, the win snapped their losing streak at ten games and leaves them with a 4-12 record.

Berean Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 57-54 defeat against Chattanooga Central on the 30th. Grace Baptist Academy has also already played their next contest (against Silverdale Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
