Softball Game Preview: Vinton-Shellsburg Vikings vs. Benton Bobcats

Vinton-Shellsburg is 1-9 against Benton since June of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Vikings will be playing at home against the Bobcats at 5:30 p.m.

Vinton-Shellsburg is headed into Wednesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game on Tuesday. They lost 8-0 to Beckman.

Meanwhile, Benton posted their closest win since July 13, 2024 on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 victory over Independence. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bobcats.
