Softball Recap: Firebaugh Comes Up Short

If Firebaugh was riding high fresh off their 17-6 takedown of Hawthorne last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Falcons came up short against the Norwalk Lancers on Tuesday, falling 12-2. The Falcons were not able to make up for their defeat to the Lancers from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

Camila Curumaco made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and two runs.

Firebaugh's loss dropped their record down to 14-5. As for Norwalk, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-7-1.

Looking ahead, Firebaugh is taking a road trip to challenge Bellflower at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Norwalk, they will welcome Paramount at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
