Basketball Recap: Bryleigh Boggs Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Logansport

Wabash's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top against the Logansport Berries by a score of 41-33. That's more bragging rights for the Apaches, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Wabash's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bryleigh Boggs, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 11 boards. That makes it five consecutive games in which Boggs has scored at least a third of the Apaches' points. Another player making a difference was Haylee Friend, who posted 13 points and six rebounds.

Wabash smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in three consecutive matchups.

Goldie Kitchell and Player #30 certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Kitchell had 15 points along with eight blocks and six boards, while Player #30 dropped a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds.

With the win, Wabash broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3. As for Logansport, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wabash will host Pioneer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Logansport, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Plymouth at 7:30 p.m.
