Recap: South Shore Vikings vs. East New York Family Academy
The South Shore Vikings can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They blew past East New York Family Academy 73-48. The victory was familiar territory for South Shore who now have five in a row.
Several East New York Family Academy players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Amariah Clyne, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds. Arianna Mercado was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
South Shore's win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-5. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 36.1 points. As for East New York Family Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 13-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Shore's road trip will continue as they head out to face Madison at 4:30 p.m. on January 31st. Madison will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 423rd, while South Shore is ranked 18th). As for East New York Family Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Midwood at 11:00 a.m. on January 27th.
