Poteet has gone 6-1 against Terrell recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Poteet Pirates will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on the Terrell Tigers at 11:00 a.m.

Poteet's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They rang in the new year with a 2-0 victory over San Marcos.

Meanwhile, Terrell's season-opener on Monday wasn't quite what the team was looking for considering the end result. They and Kennedale finished up their contest with a 2-2 draw.

Poteet's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. With that draw, Terrell's record moves to 0-0-1.
