Softball Game Preview: Ripon Indians vs. Buhach Colony Thunder

The Ripon Indians will venture away from home to square off against the Buhach Colony Thunder at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ripon is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

Ripon gave up the first runs on Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. They blew past Sonora 13-4.

Angelina Martinez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Alana Hernandez was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Clara Townsend, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Meanwhile, Buhach Colony came up short against Los Banos on Thursday, falling 15-3.

Ripon's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Buhach Colony, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.
