Basketball Recap: Pinecrest Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

If Hoke County wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Pinecrest, they should've done a better job of containing Kennedy Moore. The Patriots strolled past the Bucks with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 59-42 for which the team can thank Moore, who shot 60% from the field en route to 32 points and four steals. Her evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points.

Pinecrest has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.6 points over those games. As for Hoke County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Pinecrest is set to square off against their familiar foe Jack Britt at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hoke County will challenge rival Overhills at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
