Baseball Recap: Lehi Pioneers vs. Westlake Thunder
Lehi waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Westlake Thunder get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Pioneers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Lehi got a great performance from Tj Peterson as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Peterson has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Boston Drakulich, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Lehi's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 2-4 when he doesn't). Mays Madsen was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
