Football Game Preview: Jacksonville Titans vs. Searcy Lions

Jacksonville is 0-7 against Searcy since September of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Titans will be playing at home against the Lions at 7:00 p.m. Jacksonville has given up an average of 26.7 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Jacksonville is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Robinson on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Titans were beaten by the Senators 42-7. The contest marked the Titans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Jacksonville's loss came about despite a quality game from Mason Ball, who rushed for 78 yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, Searcy put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They really took it to Watson Chapel for the full four quarters, racking up a 56-12 win. The Lions' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Searcy's win came from a few key players Jacksonville will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jackson Smith, who picked up 90 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Andrew Adams was another key player, rushing for 24 yards and one TD.

Searcy's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Jacksonville, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
