The Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs will face off against the Piketon Redstreaks at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lynchburg-Clay is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.5 runs per game this season.

On Saturday, Lynchburg-Clay made easy work of New Richmond and carried off a 9-1 victory. Considering the Mustangs have won 16 contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Christian Flowers made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three runs and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Elam Faust, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Trevor Niehaus, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Piketon fell victim to South Webster and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 11-0 to the Jeeps.

Lynchburg-Clay has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Piketon, their loss dropped their record down to 8-15-1.
