Baseball Recap: Carroll Takes a Loss

Carroll came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 10-3 to the Clinton Prairie Gophers. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Gophers: they've now lost four in a row.

Rowan Bell made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Grayson Miller was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Carroll's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Clinton Prairie, they pushed their record up to 16-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Carroll is set to square off against their familiar foe Clinton Central at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Clinton Prairie will challenge rival Sheridan at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
