Baseball Recap: Holmes Comes Up Short

Holmes managed to slip by Currituck County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Aces came up short against the Knights on Wednesday, falling 11-5.

Holmes saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Byrum, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Holmes' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Currituck County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Holmes will challenge North Pitt at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Currituck County, they will square off against TEACH Homeschool at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
