Volleyball Recap: Laingsburg Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Laingsburg was the 2-0 winner over Webberville when they last played one another back in August of 2015, but their luck changed this time around. The Wolfpack fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 2-1 on Thursday.

The 2-1 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-23, 24-26.

Laingsburg's offense was headlined by Mallory Woodbury and Sydney Curtis, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Hayden Wilson and her 13 assists. Gwenith Clark controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Laingsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8-1. As for Webberville, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Laingsburg will take on Lakeville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wolfpack are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Webberville, they will head out on the road to square off against Morrice at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
