Basketball Recap: Stoneman Douglas' Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Stoneman Douglas needed a changed in momentum after dropping six straight games and they got it from Ayden Mclean. The Stoneman Douglas Eagles came out on top against the West Broward Bobcats by a score of 74-64 on Tuesday thanks in part to Mclean, who went 11 for 21 on his way to 30 points and five steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Stoneman Douglas' win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-6. As for West Broward, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stoneman Douglas will face off against Lake Worth Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Lake Worth Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games. As for West Broward, they will challenge Hialeah Gardens at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hialeah Gardens is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.6 points per game this season.
